NOTICE OF PROPOSED AMENDED 2024 BUDGET

PUBLIC HEARING February 20 2025 at 6 pm

NOTICE is hereby given that proposed amended budget has been submitted to the Misty Acres

Metropolitan District Board of Directors for the year 2024. A copy of the proposed amended

budget is on file and open for public inspection, by emailing District Counsel at

wendy@monteith-law.com

The proposed amended budget will be considered at a scheduled public hearing during a

Meeting of the Board of Directors to be held at 19855 Alexandria Dr, Monument, CO 80132 on

Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 6:00 PM. Any interested elector of the Misty Acres

Metropolitan District may inspect the proposed amended budget and file or register any

objections thereto at any time prior to the final adoption of the budget.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, and, particularly, to the electors of the Misty Acres Metropolitan District, El Paso County, Colorado (the “District”).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election will be held on May 6, 2025 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  At that time, two (2) directors will be elected to serve 4-year terms until May 2029

and due to vacancy appointments, two (2) directors will be elected to serve 2-year terms until May 2027. Eligible electors of the District interested in serving on the board of directors may obtain a Self-Nomination and Acceptance form from the District Designated Election Official (DEO) at 4610 S. Ulster Street, Suite 150, Denver, CO 80237, 303-290-7413, or via email at wendy@monteith-law.com, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  

The deadline to submit a Self-Nomination and Acceptance is close of business (5:00 p.m.) on February 28, 2025. An Affidavit of Intent to be a Write-In Candidate must be submitted to the office of the DEO by the close of business on March 3, 2025.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, an application for an absentee ballot shall be filed with the designated election official no later than the close of business on Tuesday preceding the election, April 29, 2025.
